A Brief Introduction
The Chung Hua Middle School No. 3 Alumni Choir was formed in early July 2004 in conjunction with the school's alumni gathering dinner held on the 6.11.2004. We have a total of 26 ladies and 12 gentlemen in the choir, from all walks of life who share a passion for singing.
The choir made its debut performance on 6.11.2004 which was well received by all who attended the alumni gathering dinner. The choir performed a total of 10 songs, all in Mandarin.

During the performance
The concert cum alumni gathering dinner was held at Chung Hua Middle School No. 3's school hall. Given that there were no air-conditioning facilities, we had to make do with the ceiling fans. Thank goodness the hall was not too stuffy, although all of us were sweating from the harsh spotlights. Hopefully the "thick" makeup can offset the harsh effects of the lights.
Events and Updates
2007:
1) The CHMS No. 3 choir was invited to take part in the inaugural Choir Festival held at Inti College, Mary Yek Hall, Kuching on 7.5.2007.
2) CHMS No. 3 performed during the official opening ceremony of JF Beauty's branch office at Jalan Tun Jugah, Kuching.
2006:
1) The CHMS NO. 3 choir was invited to perform in the annual concert of "Beautiful" Life Band, Kuching on 8.1.2006 at Kenyalang Theatre, Kuching.
2) A Chinese New Year gathering cum karaoke happy hour was held on the 4th day of Chinese New Year.
3) Renowned soprano, Miss Evelyn Chiu who hails from Hong Kong gave a performance during the concert of "Our Songs" on 9.9.2006 at the SUPP Auditorium. Choir members performed songs by a local songwriter and the piano accompanist performed "Ode to the Yellow River" on piano.
2005
Events for Chung Hua Middle School No. 3 Alumni Choir:
1) Radio Broadcast programme for Chinese New Year 2005 (aired on 4th day of Chinese New Year)
2) "We wish you well" concert was successfully held on 26.3.2005 at the Kenyalang Park Theatre, Kuching. A buffet dinner was held on 27.3.2005 to congratulate members of the choir for their efforts in making the concert a success.
3) The CHMS No.3 Choir held their "Appreciation Nite" Concert at MBKS Auditorium, Kuching on 15.8.2005 in conjunction with the annual Kuching Festival celebrations. In addition to the choir performance, there were a variety of performances including two harmonica solos, one clavinova solo and one guitar solo. The concert was well received by the audience.
4) Mid-Autumn Festival gathering was held in September 2005.
5) The choir was invited to perform during the 8th National Music Camp participants' concert held at Inti College, Kuching on 14.12.2005.
